oh hello swap!

One of my favorite bloggers Danni from Oh Hello Friend, hosted a swap among her crafty-shop-owning readers. Of course, I signed up immediately! I was lucky enough to be paired with Holly of Holly Knitlightly (love that name!).
All digital elements by Sahlin Studio EXCEPT "hello, friend" tag by Danni of  oh hello friend.

I loved Holly’s whimsical packaging of polka-dot tissue paper, baker’s twine, washi tape, hand-stamped shipping tag and a hand-made card. And inside, of course, was even better! She sent me a delicately knit cap in luscious vanilla (as modelled by myself and then by my daughter, Sofia) and a dusty teal cap for Zara. They are so soft and scrumptious and can be worn all year long!

And some more photos of us modeling the hats! Too cute.

And because I am a scrapbooker I  had to document the swap in a digital scrapbook page. Everything you see is by designer, Krista Sahlin of Sahlin Studio (except for the little tag which Danni offered on her blog). I just joined her creative team so you'll be seeing lots more pages using her goodies! For credits, please see caption.

And here's a look at what I sent Holly. We batted a few ideas for a custom hoop back and forth. But in the end, Holly didn't know what I was going to send her. Surprise!

Similar to my I Heart U hoop, I personalized these with names and added a pink heart filled in with satin stitches.

His and Hers Hoops for Holly and her boyfriend Keith.
On Holly's blog, her dog Squirt is often featured, so I thought why not make a small hoop just for him. A bone hoop! And I included a few of my signature felt flowers in goldenrod, antique white, cashmere tan. The envelope is stamped with my custom stamp I bought here.

You can get a closer look at the bone hoop on Holly's post about the swap. I forgot to take a photo before I put it inside the glassine envelope.

If you haven't participated in a swap before, I highly recommend it. It's great to connect with other crafters and share some of the handmade goodness that we create. Thanks to Danni for hosting and another big thank you to Holly!
