Lately, one of my favorite topics to scrapbook about are crafts - not just mine, but my daughter's as well. She makes amazing things out of paper for me, my family, and her friends. For Valentine's Day, she made all her gifts out of paper! A picnic basket full of miniature treats, carefully cut out and embellished with marker: cupcake, m & m's, candies, a cherry. She also made a couple of little books full of drawings and poems. Love this girl!
For me, scrapbooking rejuvenates my creative energies by creating something just for me. What do you like to do to recharge?

And you might remember these next photos from a previous post. I printed them out on my resurrected Epson printer and used the February Studio Calico kit plus some of my favorite punches. I also added a few my own felt flowers to match the ones one the wreath.
Those yellow journaling lines are hand-stitched with embroidery thread. I used a scrap piece of paper as a guide to pre-punch the holes then used a canary yellow thread to stitch. I journaled on top. This was inspired by this layout by the uber-talented Sasha Farina! |
